SkillsUSA Championships
The SkillsUSA Championships are a core part of the SkillsUSA Tennessee experience, allowing members to apply their knowledge, develop professional skills, and explore careers in the skilled trades. Spanning skilled trades, leadership, and technical careers, students have the opportunity to challenge themselves, gain real-world experience, and earn recognition at the regional, state, and national levels.

Categories and Descriptions: Review the competition offerings available through SkillsUSA.
Regional Level Competitions and Eligibility: Review competitions that will be hosted at the regional conference level. All students who are interested in competing in one of these competitions must compete at the regional level to qualify for the state level. State Level Competitions and Eligibility: Review competitions that will be hosted at the state conference level.

Local Competition Guide: Host a local competition to determine who will represent your chapter. This can be done within the classroom, school, or district.
State Level Competitions and Eligibility: Ensure that you review all leadership and technical competitions that students can enter.
Technical Standards: Have member(s) review the technical standards outlining the competencies from which the competition will be derived. Ensure students feel confident in their ability to demonstrate the outlined skills.

Resume: Ensure all students have an acceptable resume for submission.
Technical Standards: Begin practicing the content outlined within the technical standards.
General Regulations: Review the general regulations to understand rules that apply to all competitions.
Rubrics: Review the sample competition rubric to provide a general understanding of what may be assessed. Please note that these are samples only.
Professional Development Test Study Guide: Ensure that the professional development test is completed within the established window.
Competition Updates: Review competition updates to identify any modifications from the technical standards that will occur in the competition.
